Curacorn
Curacorn is our new and revolutionary treatment for corns.
The Curacorn technique uses a sterile gel injection to cushion painful corns or pressure areas in the foot from inside the skin. This provides the patient with a long term solution for symptomatic corns.
The procedure can eliminate the need for bulky padding or frequent visits to your podiatrist to have corns treated.
How the treatment works
Corns form as a result of pressure from within the skin where the boney structures below rub the inner layers of the
dermis.
By injecting a sterile cushion between these layers, Curacorn can eliminate the skin’s reaction to the pressure. The gel provides a natural cushion between the skin and the joint, preventing the recurrence of corns.
Who can benefit from Curacorn?
Those with painful chronic corns on high weight-bearing areas or in-between the toes.
The procedure can eliminate the need for bulky padding or frequent visits to your podiatrist to have corns treated.
How many treatments will I need?
A course of Curacorn will include up to three treatments. Following your consultation, we will get you in for the first treatment and book the second four weeks later to review your progress.
Every corn is unique, your podiatrist will discuss what you can expect from your treatment & how much gel will be needed to create a sufficient cushion inside the skin for you.
How long does the treatment take?
A Curacorn treatment usually takes the same time as your routine podiatry treatment although larger areas may require more time.
Following treatment we do ask that you avoid putting pressure on the treated area for 24-48 hours.
