365 Days, 365 Runs: Debs Lambert’s Incredible Fundraising Journey

For the past year, long-standing patient Debs Lambert has taken on an extraordinary challenge; running at least 10K every single day for 365 consecutive days, all in support of her friend Sarah and the charity Breast Cancer Now. Friday 15th May marks the close of this phenemenal challenge.

Along the way, Debs has covered thousands of miles, raised over £7,000 and inspired countless people with her determination, humour and resilience. As she prepares to complete her final challenge, a remarkable 36.5-mile run on day 365, we’re proud to share her story and celebrate an incredible achievement.

Running at least 10K every day for 365 days is almost done! Topped off by a finale of 36.5 miles on day 365 (Friday 15th May) 😃 My madness has helped heal my beautiful friend Sarah and we’ve raised £7K so far for the amazing charity, Breast Cancer Now 💖

Debs 365 Days Running

Some stats to date:
🍄 4,768K run to date (2,962 miles)
📏 594 hours of clodhopping
💖 £7,207 raised for Breast Cancer Now
🦡 Countless dramas with the Yorkshire wildlife!

There are reasons why I embarked on this nutty JOB365 challenge in the first place:

  1. To help my beautiful friend Sarah through the dark times of her cancer journey, keeping her smiling and running.
  2. To keep me outta bother (!!), and staying strong for Sarah and everyone around me.
  3. To raise whatever we can for this amazing charity.

And it’s done its job a million-fold 🫶

Everyone has been overwhelmingly supportive. The kindness and generosity has bowled me over 🩷 and I’m so very grateful 🙏 Just thank you

Right, I’m off to psych myself up for the loopy 36.5 miler! (Pizza and cake should do it 🍕 🍰 🤣).

Challenges like this place an incredible amount of demand on the body, particularly the feet. Running every single day for a year requires consistency, resilience and ongoing care behind the scenes.

We’ve been proud to help support Debs throughout her journey by keeping her feet in the best condition possible along the way. From managing blisters and soreness to helping with the ongoing strain that daily running can place on the feet and lower limbs, good foot care has played an important part in helping her stay comfortable, consistent and injury-free.

Most importantly, it’s helped ensure she could continue showing up every single day; an achievement that makes this challenge all the more inspiring.
